Another Year in the Books!  includes:

Pattern and Kit to make the Easy Book Tote Bag in fun book themed fabrics, and includes all interfacing and strapping needed as well.

Also includes the foundation paper pieced pattern Book Nerd by Angela Pingel Designs and the fabric and printed foundation paper to make a book block! It does include an extra set of book block papers. Plus the tote pattern includes directions to incorporate the block to use for the tote. (The tote can be made with or without using the foundation paper piecing technique or block)

Must have foundation paper piecing supplies: Fabric Glue Stick, an Add-A-Quarter Ruler, and A cute handmade notecard backed with foundation paper piecing instructions.

Big Spool of 12wt Aurifil Magenta #2535. This is perfect for top stitching and showing off some decorative stitches. I used it to quilt a cute decorative stitch on the spine of my book block. Since it is a thicker thread you will want to use a Topstitch needle (it has a bigger eye so it won't shred) and you will want to use a 40wt thread in your bobbin.

A package of 100/16 Topstitch needles, great for top stitching and great to use with thicker threads or specialty threads such as metallic threads to prevent shredding.

Bonus pattern and kit to make 2 felt corner bookmarks, includes 2 skeins of DMC floss to make and decorate your bookmark by hand, or use the included 12wt thread and Topstitch needles to make and decorate by machine.

Bonus Item:

A Quilt themed mystery novel by Carol Dean Jones from her Quilting Cozy series. This is a fun read that mixes my love for reading and quilting, it is a whole series, but each book can be read as a stand-a-lone.

I ordered online from Mended Hearts Quilting and Boutique because they had a beautiful piece of fabric I hadn’t found elsewhere. The price was excellent and I received my purchase VERY quickly. I couldn’t believe how fast it got from Iowa to Florida! It was packed with obvious care and included a personal message. I am very impressed with Mended Heart’s selection, online shopping experience, service and communication and will definitely shop there again.

I placed an online order. Upon order fulfillment, they discovered the image attached to that item was not the same product and called me to verify which I wanted. As it turned out they didn't have the product I thought I was ordering, but were kind enough to find and send photos of alternatives for me to select from. Quick shipping and excellent customer service/attention to detail! I would definitely order with confidence from this shop again!

I recently ordered my Janome 100th Anniversary fabric from Mended Hearts. I chose them over other stores that popped up when I google searched the fabric because I love their mission. As a Labor & Delivery nurse I see newborns with cardiac issues and have to help their Mom’s with a baby in the NICU. My firstborn was in the NICU for 11 weeks as he was a 29 weeks preemie...38 years ago! I am very blessed that he never really had any issues except growing. I think Mended Hearts has a wonderful mission and I will certainly buy from them again. I received my fabric nicely packaged with a very nice personal thank you note! Great Business!
