Sew a set of bowls with the Nesting Bowls DIY Rope Basket Kit from The Mountain Thread Company. The convenient stacking of the three nesting bowls makes a beautiful presentation both for gifts and storage. Make your own functional, serviceable bowls and see the possibilities in the craft room, the office, the gift bag, or the toy room.

The graduated sizes of the nesting bowls are as follows - approximately 4” across the top, 5” across the top, and 6” across the top.

The Nesting Bowls Kit contains the following:

  • 15 Yards of 3/16” 100% cotton rope (an exclusive Mountain Thread Company braid made in our home state of North Carolina) to make three round baskets in graduated sizes

  • Introduction card with details for machine settings, thread selection, and expanded tips for fabric wrapping and customizing the baskets

  • Detailed instructions with illustrations for making three baskets AND finishing detail

  • 1 heavy duty sewing machine needle

In addition to the materials included in the kit, makers will need a sewing machine**, scissors, and 40 wt thread. Makers can also incorporate any of their own fabric remnants if desired (fabrics are not included).
