About this experience

Ready to take the mystery out of using a serger? This beginner-friendly class will help you become more comfortable with your machine and understand what a serger can do. You’ll learn the basic parts and functions of your serger, how stitches are formed, and how to adjust your machine for better results.

We’ll practice basic serger techniques while covering threading, tension, stitch length, differential feed, and more. Whether your serger is brand new or has been sitting unused because it feels intimidating, this class will help you get started with confidence!

Don’t own a serger yet? A limited number of rental machines are available for anyone who would like to try one before purchasing. Please contact us to reserve a rental.

Students should bring a serger in good working order, the machine manual, foot pedal and power cord, accessories, and basic sewing supplies. A detailed supply list will be provided before class.
