The Plaid Mallards Quilt Kit is throw sized and finishes at 64 1/2" x 78". It features pieced duck blocks blending simplicity and detail that brings the tranquility of nature indoors. It uses the Plaid Venture Club collection by Riley Blake Designs. These fabrics are paired with the Plaid Mallards quilt pattern by Bluebird Patterns. All print fabrics in this kit are the ones referenced and used in the pattern. We however love to add our own spin on things so substituted the background and sashing with some of our favorite BasicGrey Grunge fabrics in Spritzer and Sea, for Moda Fabrics, adding the perfect texture. See pictures. This project comes together with traditional piecing and is good for beginners and experienced quilters.
Included in Kit: Pattern, fabric for top and binding, bonus tip sheet, and coordinating greeting card.
Not Included: Backing and batting.
Backing Needed: 5yds or as stated in the pattern 2 1/8yds of wide backing.
