This long arm certification class is limited to four people in each hands-on, four hour class. In this class you will learn the basics of using the machine, how to choose a design and what you can practice to increase your skills. Our class teaches you to stitch hand-guided edge-to-edge designs. Waves, loops, swirls, meander, stars, vines, and many more. You will get lots of hands-on practice.  You will be provided with practice material, batting, and thread supplies. By the end of the class you will be able to quilt an all-over design on your own quilt.  Once you've completed this certification class, you are eligible to rent one of our long arm machines by the hour.  Students also receive a discount on batting and wide backs purchased for use in rental sessions.

Denise Bachelder is a passionate textile artist who loves to combine the colorful realm of fabric with other art forms in new and innovative ways.

With more than 10 years in the quilting world and several more decades worth of experience in clothing construction as well as other textile and fiber art fields, Denise brings a deep love for textiles, color, and design. With a degree in teaching from Iowa State University and long history of teaching textile classes to adults, children and 4H clubs and Denise has spent many years exploring the endless possibilities that quilting and sewing offers.

Denise believes that quilting is not just a skill; it's a journey of self-expression. In her classes, you can expect a blend of technique, tradition, and contemporary flair.

While her expertise spans a wide range of styles, she has a particular fondness for collage, hand embroidery, quilt design and garment making.

When she is not immersed in the world of quilting, you can find her outside on the farm with the dogs and horses, or inside under a quilt with a good book.
